The Women’s Network is a national collegiate organization dedicated to empowering women as they explore diverse career paths and build the professional connections necessary to thrive after graduation. We aim to host weekly events meant to connect our members with industry leaders, offer opportunities for building skills, and foster connections with peers within the community.

Why We Need Your Support

To fulfill the impact of TWN mission, we are in progress of working on programs related to industry outreach that would further develop our members careers and opportunities. These programs include:

1. Industry Speaker Events
We organize small group gatherings with panels of industry leaders or guest speakers where members engage in conversations with professionals from a wide range of industries. These sessions provide students with mentorship, real-world insights, and access to career paths they might not otherwise explore.

2. Alumni Shadow Program
We are building a formal alumni network to provide shadowing and informational interview opportunities. This program is meant to provide our members with the unique experience of a day in the life of their desired career path.

3. Career Exploration Trips
We plan to organize trips to leading companies and organizations aligned with our members’ interests. These experiences allow students to gain access to the work dynamic in their desired industry as well as possibly speak to hiring professionals and build relationships with recruiters.

4. Community Building & Peer Support
Beyond professional growth, TWN aims to build a powerful community of women who support each other in their academic and professional journeys. Our events foster deep, lasting connections among peers who go on to support one another in the future and provide each other strong networks after graduation.

Funding Needs

To make these programs possible, we require financial support to cover:

  • Transportation Costs for career trips and alumni networking events.
  • Materials and Supplies for workshops, speaker series, and professional development events.
  • Event Hosting Expenses, including venue rental, food, printing, and logistics.
  • Outreach and Program Expansion, allowing us to bring in speakers from a broader range of industries and locations.

Significance

Without adequate funding, our members risk missing out on transformative experiences that can define their career paths, inspire ambition, and provide invaluable connections. These events and programs are meant to provide our members with information that goes beyond how to write a resume and how to do well on an interview. What we aim to provide our members is what ultimately helps set them apart from their competition. Your support enables us to turn ambition into action and ensure that every woman in our network has the access, exposure, and support she needs to succeed.
