The National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) provides a space where students can grow their peer network and collaborate with other like-minded students. Through workshops and events, our organization facilitates meaningful connections with firms and enables members to gain insights into various career paths.
NABA has managed to reach beyond our campus and hosted a packed event for Cal State LA students to promote our graduate accounting programs, with the blessing of Dean Call. This upcoming academic year, we want to outdo ourselves and provide even more professional support for members. Some examples of this would include club firm visit events (we will provide transportation for these events) and networking nights where we bring in accounting and investment banking firms and provide food for all attendees.
We also want to build more of a community among our members through organizing more social outings and group attendance at USC sporting events, along with attending the NABA convention next summer as a club to connect students with industry professionals.
