Campaign Summary

We're raising $3,000 for tournament expenses and equipment replacement for the Taekwondo Club (TKD) at USC so that our vibrant student membership can grow through professional competitions and social activities.

About Our Club

USC TKD is USC's largest martial arts club in terms of membership. We provide Taekwondo practices for undergraduate and graduate students of all skill levels, where students learn martial arts skills, build confidence, and develop lifelong friendships.

Our Impact

Training Excellence: Regular sessions with a professional black-belt master.

Competition Experience: Participation in annual collegiate and open tournaments (UCD, UCI, etc.)

Community Performance: Performances at Korean Cultural Night, International Student Assembly, and community events like Lunar New Year celebrations

Volunteer Service: At least four community service events annually, such as food preparation at Angel Food Project and distribution with AfricActive

What We Need & Why

We’re asking for $3,000 to support two critical needs:

1. UC Davis Tournament ($2,000):

- Your support will help USC TKD expand its roster for the largest tournament of the school year, and afford members the opportunity to learn from fellow competitors and forge new relationships.

- Items: Registration for 10 team members ($1000), transportation (~$500), lodging (~500).

2. Equipment Renewal ($1,000):

- We will also allocate your donations towards purchasing equipment for our regular practices, ensuring safety for our members.

- New uniforms ($600) and protective gear ($400)

Our Promise and Next Steps:

Donated money will go to USC TKD’s Gift Account, managed by USC’s Recreational Club Council. Every dollar goes directly into the development and growth of our team, and will supplement our existing funds from membership dues and fundraising activities. We’ll keep you

informed with updates from the UC Davis Tournament and show you the impact you have through photos and stories of our competitions, performances, and community service.

All RSOs are approved by the university and are student-run and student-led. RSOs are affiliated with the university but not part of the university. All RSOs operate with open membership and any currently enrolled USC student may join. RSOs also operate within the university’s non-discrimination policy:
