About Kesem
Kesem supports children (ages 6-18) through and beyond their parent’s cancer with free, fun-filled
creative programs and a lasting community. Kesem is the largest national organization dedicated to
this unique population, estimated at over 5 million children.

Kesem serves over 7,500 children yearly through our year-round programming, including our flagship
program, Camp Kesem. We train over 4,000 committed and passionate college student volunteers at
over 120 chapters nationwide to implement our summer camp programs dedicated to serving this
community and committed to providing enriching and life-changing opportunities.

About our Chapter at USC
At Camp Kesem at USC, we are proud to be part of this incredible movement. This year, we are preparing to welcome 75 incredible children to our summer camp in the beautiful LA mountains. Alongside them will be 40 trained USC student volunteers, who will serve as counselors, mentors,
and friends for the entire week.

For many of our campers, Camp Kesem is the first space where they feel seen, understood, and truly
supported by peers who “get it.” It’s not just a week of games, songs, and s’mores—it’s a place of healing, empowerment, and lifelong connection.

And the most important part? It’s 100% free for families. Our campers and their loved ones are already navigating enormous emotional, financial, and physical challenges—our goal is to ensure that cost is never a barrier to experiencing the magic of camp.

How You Can Help – Day of SCupport
To make all of this possible, our chapter is working toward an ambitious goal: raising $100,000 this
year to fully fund camp and provide the highest quality experience for every camper who joins us.

Your support on our Day of SCupport can help us reach that goal—and bring healing, laughter, and
love to children who truly need it. Whether you donate, share our mission, or join our efforts, you are
making a lasting impact in a child’s life.
